Job description
As an Analytics Engineer, you'll help build market data products for the cargo industry. You'll work with live airline capacity and trade flow data, developing forecasts and enriching existing datasets, in close collaboration with industry experts, engineers, and fellow analysts.

We provide cloud-based software and analytics, world-leading market data, and data-driven strategy consulting. Our clients include top-tier airlines, airports, freight forwarders, governments, shippers, investors, and other industry stakeholders.
Founded in 2022 by a core team of former aviation strategy consultants, Rotate has grown rapidly. We now have offices in the Netherlands and Malaysia and a diverse team of around 50 professionals, including strategy consultants, data scientists, software developers, and data engineers. Demand for our work continues to grow strongly, and we are therefore looking for talented analytic engineers to strengthen our team.
What you’ll do
When joining Rotate as an Analytics Engineer, you will:
Sit at the heart of our market data product team, developing and pressure-testing the business logic that turns raw market data into reliable, actionable products.
With guidance, take ownership of the development of new features, logic, and PoCs that help our customers take better sales, pricing, and strategic planning decisions.
Work alongside our engineering team to make sure new features are fully integrated into existing products and pipelines.
Get the opportunity to shape the product team, contribute to internal data standards, documentation, and best practices for analytics and engineering.
Occasionally join white-boarding sessions with customers or partners to solve analytical challenges together.
Become an expert in key industry data sets and products and build deep expertise in a globally connected market.

Job requirements
Your qualifications
A university degree in a quantitative or analytical field such as Econometrics, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, or similar.
Strong analytical and structured thinking, you enjoy breaking down complex problems and deriving clear conclusions from messy data.
Some practical experience with Python, whether through internships, personal projects, coursework, or just tinkering.
An interest in logistics, aviation, or supply chain, you’re excited to become a domain expert and want to understand what the numbers represent for our airline and logistics customers.
Strong communication skills (in English), you can explain your reasoning clearly to both technical and non-technical colleagues and feel as comfortable discussing product strategy as you are writing code.
0–3 years of experience. This role is open to recent graduates and early-career candidates.
Nice to have:
Familiarity with SQL, PySpark, dbt, or data modelling concepts
Any prior experience in logistics, aviation, or a B2B data environmen
