What you’ll be doing
As a Data Analytics Intern at Rotate, you’ll support our data and product teams by helping prepare, organize, and analyze data used in our products and client insights. This role is a great opportunity to gain real-world exposure to modern data engineering and analytics practices while contributing to meaningful work in the aviation and cargo industry.
You will work closely with the team to:
Assist in building and maintaining data models used in dashboards and analysis.
Support the development of data pipelines to ingest, clean, and transform datasets from various sources.
Help translate business questions into basic analytical logic and reporting.
Work with tools and technologies such as Python, SQL, AWS, or Databricks (training and guidance provided).
Clean, organize, validate, and document datasets to ensure accuracy and usability.
Perform exploratory and ad-hoc analyses to support internal decision-making and client questions.
Contribute to documentation, standardisation, and internal data processes.
Job requirements
What you’ll need
We’re looking for individuals who are curious, motivated, and eager to learn. You don’t need to know everything — you just need to be willing to try, ask questions, and grow.
Ideally, you have:
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
Some experience or coursework using Python and/or SQL.
Understanding (even theoretical) of data analysis concepts such as data cleaning, ETL and databases
Strong analytical thinking and interest in solving problems with data.
Willingness to learn tools such as Databricks, Airflow, AWS, or visualization tools.
Ability to work independently, take initiative, and collaborate with a diverse team.
You must be legally eligible to work in Malaysia.
Duration: 3–6 months (flexible based on candidate availability).

Where is the position located?
This role is based in our newly established office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Our Malaysia office specializes in Software Engineering, Data Engineering, and Data Analysis. You will collaborate with talented tech colleagues.
