Solve hard problems where AI, data, and software meet. Build products that move the global air cargo industry. Graduate-only role with a clear path to engineering leadership.
Job description
As a Graduate Engineer you'll ship production code from day one across our Gen-AI, data, and product platforms — working alongside senior engineers on problems that directly shape how the global air cargo industry runs. Fast feedback, real ownership, and a structured path toward engineering leadership.
Who we are
We are Rotate. We help key players across the global air cargo and logistics industry make better commercial and strategic decisions. We provide cloud-based software and analytics, world-leading market data, and data-driven strategy consulting. Our clients include top-tier airlines, airports, freight forwarders, governments, shippers, investors, and other industry stakeholders.
Founded in 2022 by a core team of former aviation strategy consultants, Rotate has grown rapidly. We now have offices in the Netherlands and Malaysia and a diverse team of around 50 professionals, including strategy consultants, data scientists, software developers, and data engineers. Demand for our work continues to grow strongly, and we are therefore looking for talented graduates to strengthen our engineering team.
What you'll do
You'll work at the intersection of software engineering, data engineering, and data science — building products where all three disciplines genuinely collide. One day you're designing a React/Angular interface that helps a cargo airline planner make a billion-dollar fleet decision; the next you're tuning a Databricks query over years of global waybill data, or wiring up an LLM agent that reasons over live operational feeds.
Our stack is deliberately modern: Angular and NestJS on the product side, Python and Databricks for data, Kubernetes underneath, MongoDB and Postgres for state, and a Gen-AI orchestration layer built on the Vercel AI SDK, MCP, and Langfuse. We code with agentic tools (Claude Code, Cursor) as a default, not a novelty.
Concretely, in your first year you'll:
Ship features end-to-end across frontend, backend, and data layers — not just tickets, but real product
Take on meaty engineering problems: streaming large result sets to the browser, sub-second analytics over multi-terabyte datasets, LLM pipelines that stay grounded on structured airline data
Pair daily with senior engineers and get weekly 1:1 coaching aimed at turning you into a future tech lead
Rotate through problem spaces (product, data platform, AI) so you find where you want to go deep
We hire graduates we believe can lead teams within a few years — and we invest accordingly.
