Who we are

We are Rotate. We help airlines and airports make better commercial and strategic decisions about air cargo and provide (strategy) consulting, world-leading market data and software products. We’re based in the Netherlands and founded by a core of former aviation strategy consultants in 2022. We have built a growing team of 20+ people consisting of strategy consultants, data scientists and software developers. Demand for our services is overwhelming, so we are constantly searching for new talent.

We want to build and do things that matter. We are passionate about our industry and believe there is huge potential to turn data into action and create real and practical solutions and strategies.

What you’ll do

You will join a young and entrepreneurial company and will be part of a uniquely experienced and well-connected team. You’ll will help define the strategic direction of airlines, airports, and other industry players as part of a team and take responsibility for your own part of the problem solving.

You’ll play a key role in gathering and analyzing data, interviewing clients, and contributing to the team’s recommendations. You’ll work directly with clients (around the world) and have a voice in determining the team’s working approach. Your ideas will be encouraged from day one.

In the first year, with mentoring and support of your colleagues and supervisors, you should feel comfortable with the following responsibilities:

• Structure complex airline problems and propose a way to solve them
  • Manage data collection and data quality
  • Own the end-to-end analysis and process
  • Derive clearly articulated findings and takeaways from analysis
• Prepare easy to understand communication materials
• Work effectively with diverse teams and cultures to come up with the most effective and efficient solutions to client questions
• Manage junior client stakeholders
• Confidently communicate your findings with your colleagues and in client meetings

What you’ll need

We are looking for talented professionals who want to kickstart their Strategy Consulting career.

• An undergraduate or master’s degree, preferably in a quantitative field
• You have strong quantitative and analytical skills 
• You are excited to work in the global airline and air cargo industry
• You have proven to perform well under pressure, either in academic or other fields
• You have the ability to distinguish and prioritize key issues from noise (the 80/20 principle)
• You are comfortable working in PowerPoint and Excel. A basic understanding of Python and SQL is a plus
• You are fluent in English. Other languages are a great plus.

Where is the position located?

We have chosen to be based in Utrecht within walking distance from the Central Station. We find value in being together as we collaborate to build exciting new products while offering flexibility to accommodate different ways of working. In this role, you will travel globally for assignments.
