UI/UX Design Intern

As a UI/UX Design Intern, you’ll help design intuitive user interfaces for data-driven software used by airlines worldwide. You’ll work closely with product managers and engineers, gaining hands-on experience designing real features in a collaborative, international environment

What you’ll be doing

When joining Rotate as a UI/UX Design Intern, you will: 

• Work on real features for our data-driven SaaS products used by the air cargo industry.  

• Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and data teams in a highly international environment 

• Work under the mentorship of an experienced Senior UI/UX Designer and contribute to ongoing design initiatives 

• Gain hands-on experience designing complex, data-driven software used for real commercial decision-making 

• Learn how UX decisions are made in a fast-moving product organization 

Your responsibilities may include: 

• Supporting the Senior UI/UX Designer in designing wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes for dashboards and analytics tools 

• Assisting in building, documenting, and maintaining our design system (components, patterns, and guidelines) 

• Translating complex data and user requirements into clear, intuitive user interfaces 

• Working with developers to ensure designs are implemented as intended 

• Helping ensure consistency across products by applying and evolving the design system 

You’ll be exposed to the full product development cycle — from early problem definition and design exploration to implementation and iteration — while building practical UX skills in a real-world product environment. 

What you’ll need

We’re looking for individuals who are curious, motivated, and eager to learn. You don’t need to know everything — you just need to be willing to try, ask questions, and grow.

Ideally, you have/are:

• Pursuing a degree in UX, Design, Computer Science (with strong interest in design), or related field 

• Basic understanding of UX principles, user flows, wireframing, and information structure 

• Familiarity with Figma or similar UI design tools 

• Portfolio showcasing academic, personal, or internship design projects 

• Strong willingness to learn, take feedback, and iterate quickly 

• Good communication and teamwork skills in a collaborative environment 

• Detail-oriented with an ability to work in a structured way
